To take this image I had to trek onto the western end of Lake Killarney. Thankfully I wore my rubber boots. I remember setting up my tripod and it sinking into the marsh and getting so frustrated. I had to change locations about 3 times to find a firm setting. Then it happened. The sun began to emerge from the horizon. Despite the challenges it was a vey good morning.
At heart I am a story teller and a visual artist armed with a camera and a lens. I first developed a love for photography as young boy at my father's side. It was here that I came to understand the power of the photographic image. Its ability to be thought provoking, to bring inspiration and to challenge our concept of reality. My desire is to impact and inspire the viewers of my work. To encourage them to look beyond what they may see in their everyday lives. For me life is a journey through my lens.
