Description
The forecast called for cloud cover during the morning and for me that is a wonderful thing. We all love beautiful blue skies, but honestly blue skies are quite boring. The low hanging clouds combined with the rise of the sun provide beautiful light and color in the sky. The clouds act like a big diffusion box , bouncing around all those rays of light. I wanted to capture the enormity of the scene so I shot it at 12 mm focal length. I also looked for pools of water to guide the viewer through the image. The entire scene lasted for about 10 minutes, before the sun had risen above the clouds. I was happy that I had been there for those 10 minutes.
